Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled CMM (Coordinate Measuring Machine) Programmer with hands-on experience in the gas turbine and/or aerospace industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, optimizing, and executing inspection programs to ensure precision measurement and compliance with strict aerospace quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
* Develop, edit, and optimize CMM programs using software such as PC-DMIS, Calypso, or MCOSMOS.
* Perform inspections of complex components such as turbine blades, vanes, rotors, stators, casings, and precision aerospace parts.
* Interpret engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models.
* Conduct first article inspections (FAI) in accordance with AS9102 standards.
* Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and engineering teams to resolve dimensional and process issues.
* Analyze inspection data and generate detailed reports using statistical tools.
* Ensure compliance with AS9100, ISO standards, and aerospace quality requirements.
* Maintain calibration and proper functioning of CMM equipment.
* Troubleshoot programming or measurement discrepancies and recommend corrective actions.
* Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at enhancing inspection efficiency and accuracy.
Required Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing, or related field (or equivalent experience).
* 3+ years of hands-on experience as a CMM Programmer in aerospace or gas turbine manufacturing.
* Strong expertise in CMM programming software (PC-DMIS, Calypso, etc.).
* In-depth understanding of GD&T and blueprint reading.
* Experience in inspecting tight-tolerance, high-precision components.
* Familiarity superalloys, titanium, and composites.
* Knowledge of AS9100 / AS9102 standards and aerospace quality systems
