Mainframe Engineer/Developer - Client Site
Jersey City, NJ or Plano, TX (Need Local Profiles)
Full-Time (W2)
Onsite-Hybrid 2 – 3 days per week
$80,000 – $100,000 per year, plus benefits

Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this position and must be able to work on a full-time W-2 basis.
This position is open to candidates who are authorized to work in the U.S. without employer sponsorship
• This is a full-time W-2 position and is not available for C2C, C2H, 1099, or other independent-contractor arrangements.

Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Mainframe Engineer/Developer to join a collaborative, high-performing technology team. In this role, you will design, develop, test, and support mainframe applications while partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality solutions from development through production.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, enhance, test, and debug mainframe applications.
• Perform code analysis, troubleshooting, and production support.
• Collaborate with infrastructure and environment teams to promote code across development, testing, and production environments.
• Work closely with business and technical stakeholders to deliver reliable, high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application maintenance, enhancements, and issue resolution.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience developing and debugging mainframe applications.
• 5+ years of COBOL development experience.
• Strong experience with:
• CICS
• COBOL
• DB2
• VSAM
• MQ
• JCL
• Experience with Endeavor Software Manager.
• Familiarity with DB2 utilities, File-AID, job schedulers, and debugging tools.
• Knowledge of secure file transfer processes (SFTP/AWX).
• Understanding of CICS Dynamic Transaction Routing is preferred.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills with technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Preferred Skills
• CICS systems administration knowledge.
• Experience with Java and front-end technologies such as Angular.
Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
