Senior Systems Analyst Programmer (Mainframe/IDMS)
Location: 100% Remote
Duration of Contract: 6 months with possible extension
State and Gov. experience is highly preferred
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Analyst Programmer with strong expertise in IDMS, COBOL, JCL, and z/OS mainframe environments. The ideal candidate will support application development, system analysis, project implementation, and production support activities.
(This role is ideal for a seasoned Mainframe Developer/Systems Analyst with strong IDMS expertise and hands-on experience in enterprise mainframe environments.)
Required Skills:
• 5+ years of recent experience with IDMS, COBOL, JCL, and z/OS.
• Experience developing and supporting Online IDMS applications.
• Knowledge of ADSO, IDD, ADSC, MAPC, DDDL, DMLO, OLP, PFCH, and DME.
• Experience with VSAM, SAS, VegaSoft, TSO/ISPF, and IDMS screen mapping.
• Strong background in systems analysis, design, development, and project implementation.
• Experience providing application production support and IT customer service.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain IDMS and COBOL mainframe applications.
• Perform system analysis, design, coding, testing, and implementation.
• Support production issues and application enhancements.
• Work with business and technical teams to gather requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure system stability and provide ongoing customer support.
