Perform analysis and develops requirements (user stories) for enhancements and new products implemented on complex Annuity and Life insurance systems

Act as a subject matter expert integrating complex product design and business rules into solutions.

Have strong communication and collaboration skills, particularly when working cross-functionally. Is able to discuss technical topics with non-technical audiences.

In response to regulation and in collaboration with other areas, determines business systems approach and requirements needed to maintain compliance within impacted applications and processes.

Work alongside Product Owners to ensure developers can build enhancements and new products as intended.

Generate recommendations to resolve known areas for improvement or to take advantage of emerging opportunities.

Actively participate in the Agile process, including advancing the efficiency and agility of the teams with which they work.

Is an advocate for positive change in their teams, able to motivate people to overcome barriers and generate creative and elegant solutions to difficult problems

4+ years of experience required, relevant technical and business experience, preferably in the Annuity and Life Insurance industry.

Four-year degree required, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field; or specialized training or equivalent extensive work experience

Experience working in an Agile environment, but able to work with elements of waterfall projects

Plus: experience with DTCC, ACCORD standards, Firelight, AN4, Affirm or other insurance application order entry systems

Licensing/Certification/Other:

Comprehensive technical skills in the areas of insurance product features and mechanics

Programming concepts (XML, json, java)

Knowledge of ACORD standards

Microsoft Excel functionality including Visual Basic for Applications

Insurance Administration systems.
