We are seeking a skilled DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on automating MySQL tasks. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing, managing and automating database processes to ensure high availability, performance, and scalability. This position requires expertise in both DevOps practices and MySQL database management, with a passion for streamlining workflows and driving efficiency through automation.

Key Responsibilities:

·     Design, build, and maintain automated solutions for MySQL database administration tasks such as copy downs, along with configuration management.

·     Integrate MySQL tasks with CI/CD pipelines to ensure seamless deployment of database changes alongside application updates.

·     Manage and automate routine tasks such as data scrambling and data management.

·     Collaborate with devops and operations teams to ensure best practices in design and deployment.

·     Implement robust monitoring solutions and alert systems to identify and resolve issues proactively.

·     Maintain comprehensive documentation for automation scripts, processes, and procedures.

·     Stay updated on best practices and emerging trends in MySQL management and automation tools.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

·     Proven experience with MySQL databases.

·     Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JAVA, and or PowerShell for automation.

·     Familiarity with DevOps tools such as Ansible, Terraform, and Jenkins.

·     Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and their database services.

·     Understanding of networking concepts and database security best practices.

·     Strong knowledge of Linux/Unix systems administration and configuration.

·     Familiarity with version control systems like Git.

·     Problem-solving mindset with the ability to troubleshoot complex systems.

·     Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

·     Experience with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools for database deployment.

·     Knowledge of managing high availability.

·     Experience with monitoring tools like Opsview 

·     AWS CloudWatch experience required.

·     AWS EC2 and RDS knowledge and experience required.
